The Holiday Art Sale is here again!

It's that time of year again! The 19th Annual Holiday Art Sale is just around the corner. The show features the work of local artists working in 3D. You will find unique gifts for everyone on your list: glass, fiber, jewelry, wood, pottery and much more. The sale starts this Saturday! Show hours are: Saturday Nov 21 (9-4:30), Sunday Nov 22 (1-5), Monday Nov 23 (9-9) and Tuesday Nov 24 (9-6). Personally I get most of my shopping done at the show, with lots of time to spare to prepare for the holidays. Hope to see you there!

CLC Art Faculty Exhibition

More from the Faculty Show:
JoAnn Kennedy, Orange Tunnel, 2008 (oil on board) $500

Terry Dixon, One Woman's Story, 2008 (mixed media) $4,850

JoAnn Kennedy's Orange Tunnel has been a big hit at the exhibition. People cannot pass by the painting without being lured by the mesmeric quality of the design. Those with vertigo beware! Terry Dixon will be participating in a two man show in Washington DC in February. His large scale works will be on display for a month at the library across from the Portrait Gallery. The Faculty Exhibition continues here at the gallery until December 13, 2009.

Photographers: Tell Draper and Ted Foss

Tell Draper, Sumac Sunset $125 (image size 3" x 5", framed size 8.5" x 10.5" photograph)

Ted Foss, English Garden $120 (11" x 14" photograph)

There are some interesting things happening with photography. The images are now being printed onto all kinds of surfaces. Tell Draper of Vernon Hills, IL has printed his on watercolor paper and Ted Foss of Antioch, IL has begun experimenting with printing on canvas. The results are intriguing. You really need to come to ARTcetera to see the full effect.
